State count [ under construction]

1.Louisiana:

My country home in the US.  I have spent a significant part of my my life here since September 6, 2010 to April 2013, 15 until I officially moved to Cincinnati to work and Live. Most of the people who meant the most during my grad life still lives here.

Nasser is working at weyerhaeuser . Dr Shaurav is a full time assitant professor at Latech. My academic Supervisor Dr Allouche  has moved to Canada. Some of my colleagues still work and live there. But who knows for how long.

Ruston is very quiet place. And amazingly beautiful to roam around. Ruston population is about 22000 of what some 13000 are students, teachers and staffs of the Louisiana Tech University. Being a small town Ruston had the only wall-mart in next 26 miles on exit 85 of Interstate - 20. If you want to count the places to hangout ; there are several state parks all around ruston. The jimmy davis state park, Lincoln parish park, Lake de'arborne  are some of my frequent evening passing bys'. US 167 towards the north is a road with nice panoramic views to drive towards Arkansas border. I cant count how many time I drove on this road for a getaway from chaos and pressure of grad life.
A lazy weekend with buddies on US167 in Arkansas

Bengaly new year

There is a small Bangladeshi community in Ruston. About a dozen Bangladeshi student , few Professors at the university and their families. They usually get together on many occasions around the year. In Ramadan the Muslim get-together for iftar is really something that i miss these days. Being part of a smaller community means everybody known everybody and there is always at least something you care or share about everyone. God bless Ruston.

2.Texas :
Used to be the second home during my graduate study. Number of countrymen came to the UT at Arlington for higher studies. The Oxford apartments was my frequent destinations every other week since I got my car.

Attended two UCT conferences in Houston and San Antonio. Houston is Big and San Antonio is probably one of the most exciting cities in Texas. The river cruise should not be missed. And the Los Alamos allows you to walk in through the days of Mexican American war. walking through the streets at night  can be one of your great pleasing night walks of your life.

Austin is great for its nightlife. The sixth street on Saturday night is blazing great!
